In fact I now remember where I read it first about Kitchen bonding...

Those "NICE"y people and their tech manual....

Domestic kitchens, cloakrooms, bedrooms and toilet areasDomestic kitchens, cloakrooms, bedrooms and toilet areas which do not contain a bath or shower but do contain a sink or hand basin are not specifically included among those covered in Part 6 of BS 7671. There is, more often than not, no reason why such rooms should be considered as locations of increased electric shock risk, and hence no reason why supplementary bonding should be provided in the area adjacent to a sink or hand basin.

Unnecessary supplementary bonding is sometimes provided at sinks and hand basins in domestic areas which do not contain a bath or shower. This can be explained, at least in part, by the fact that earlier editions of the IEE Wiring Regulations required supplementary bonding to be applied where extraneous-conductive-parts were not reliably connected to the main bonding. A note was included which referred to supplementary bonding of sinks; and consequently there was a tendency for all sinks to be provided with such bonding, whether needed or not. The requirement no longer exists, but the folk memory lives on.
and...

Commercial kitchensThe commercial kitchen is another location not specifically covered in Part 6. Supplementary bonding should be provided if the electrical installation designer considers it necessary due to an increased shock risk. However, supplementary bonding must not be relied on to protect against the danger of electric shock due to a metal worktop etc becoming live due, say, to a section of flexible wiring supplying catering equipment being accidentally cut or crushed. Measures must be taken to avoid such damage by, for example, providing extra mechanical protection to flexible wiring and/or by supporting it out of harm
