TSR24AW Creda storage heater problem! This heater is behaving very erratically. About two weeks ago it only heated up a bit on the left hand side and the middle. This continued for a few days and then suddenly for no reason it heated up evenly again and worked beautifully for a week or so. Then, a couple of days ago, it started to heat up only a bit but THIS time on the right hand side and in the middle. Do I need an electrician or an exorcist?

Any help would be gratefully received. The heater is about 10 years old. It's on economy 7.

Many thanks

probably a dodgy connection or faulty elements. either way, best get soeone to check it and replace parts where necessary

If you can find the actual model number you can use sites such as this one to get an idea about how much spares cost. http://www.storageheater.co.uk/creda-1.html The TSR code covers a range of models, see note from website link:-

All CREDA heaters have a model number which has (generally) five numbers usually starting with a seven and sometimes followed by one or two letters e.g. 79144C CREDA also used a generic code for their heaters e.g. TSR24 However this code spans different models and cannot be used to definitely identify a particular heater

Thanks to you all for your help, what a brilliant forum! I've found the model number. Will phone the electrician tomorrow and get it sorted.
