i have a creda tsr 12 aw storage heater which has stopped generating heat, there is power to the unit and i'm not sure what else to check.

Any help would be appreciated

Hello and welcome :D

Have you covered it with anything?

Most likely problem is a thermal link, some are push button re-sets, some melt and need physical replacement.

Let me have a look....

Creda ones usually have a thermalfuse link, somewhere in the top of the casing RH side I think. I used to install NS heaters for the elec board - Creda Dimplex and Unidare. Creda being the better ones.

hi

creda and unidare has a thermal link, dimplex has button

ready for this......

melts at 144 deg C and it was called "wood's metal"

all from memory, god i hope i am right!

thanks to all for your help, Andy your a star mate had a feeling it was thermal link but was damned if i knew what it looked like, i will replace it and let ya know how i get on, thanks again
