Talking About Smoking Hash/grass/pot/ Ganga

Just thought last week that theres much more about these days . 

In the same day I had my neighbour ,as usual , stinking the road out with the carp he smokes .

The builder's son at one of the jobs stinking of it , must have just smoked a joint before I arrived , his dad had gone somewhere.

Then on the evening , in the Vet's car park , a bloke pulls in , parks in their car park ,opens the door of his 4x4 and fills the area with ganga smoke as he walks off elsewhere.

I've been anti smoking since a lung cancer scare 12 years ago frightened the crap out of me    and I think this stuff is worse TBH.     I remember the stuff back in the 60s  but now they're growing it in the lofts round here. :C

Edit;        Just let the dog out before locking up ...... Jeez ...bloody stink outside ...wafting into the house ...Tucking fossers.

There is something wrong with the morons... I once met a bloke [a patient] in a psychiatric hospital that was telling me that he smoked the stuff and that there was nothing wrong with it. I asked him "Did you think why you are here??" He did not have an answer to that one..

There are thousands upon thousands of very ill people that cannot get help because what hospitals are left are full of these morons on "drug rehab programmes" Jail is where they should be.....

I asked one such person [a hospital patient] was he going to give up the drugs when he was released.. His reply was largely unprintable..

These people are NOT "addicted" at all, it is their hobby, that is why you cannot "cure" them; They do not want to be cured.. It would be like trying to "cure" a certain member on here of liking motorbikes and motorbike racing!!

Tbf, id rather a bunch of lads smoke a bit of weed of an evening than go out and get p*issed up and beat some poor sod half to death.

The smokers would be like " Shall we go to town and get lairy?"

"nah, cant be *rsed, lets listen to some Pink Floyd and eat breakfast cereal instead"

i cant stand weed either  i am very anti drugs.... if someone is stupid enough to smoke it then thats there issues that they need to deal with.... we have 1 client that whenever we have gone into the property to undertake any works we end up coming out of there higher then a boeing 747 in mid flight......  

and apprentice i think u stand very little chance of getting said member to not like motorbikes and bike racing... bikes beat bongs anyway

A lot of people can't stand weed but if they explored a little deeper they may find it can cure cancers etc but I'm sure all the "anti weed brigade" will keep it illegal and the drinks companies, cigarette companies will be paying the right people to stop it being legalised. People need to open their eyes and see that legalisation would solve a lot of problems.

As sprocket says I'd rather go out with a bunch of stoners than a bunch of drinkers. Less trouble, less fighting, less cost to ambulance service on Friday and Saturday nights.

It's all about revenue tho

Hi All,

I know of someone that smokes the stuff and has done for a great many years.. They would not have it, but it has had a very detrimental effect on them i think, including, in addition, the very severe cardivascular problems they now have, but if the stuff contributes to that, or it is merely the effect of the home made cigarettes they put it in i have no idea. These people have had a job all their lives though and probably not, [until recently] had a day off in their lives. In a great many ways they are model citizens i suppose.

What i can tell you is; What has been said about drinkers being violent, and the druggies not, is correct, only problem is, will you feel the same way when all the tools are stolen from your van tonight to pay for drugs?? I have never heard of people going burgling to go to the pub, nor do they do it to "put money in the bank"

No, it is all to fund drugs. I have seen first hand the effect this stuff has had on people, it is very dangerous stuff indeed. Before people pop up and say "it has not harmed me" it might not have, but it has certainly hurt others, you are the lucky ones..

I agree with all your saying John and before Xmas the van I was working from (not mine) was done in broad daylight at 9 in the morning on a road full of £750k+ houses. Most probably to fund "drugs" as in crack and heroin. These are the main problem drugs in out society not "weed" .

Next people will be saying the word "gateway" as in people who smoke a bit of a naturally grown plant will end up on smack or skag which is also a load of rubbish.

I've never bitched on a job when I can smell that someone's been drinking or been to the pub in their lunchtime. No different to the geezer who turned up after a reefer. Not digging at you Sandra but each to their own

Well I'm not an expert , I remember everyone had to try it back in the day because the rock groups all did it but don't know anyone who continued TBH .

I think as rock stars moved onto harder stuff and began driving into swimming pools and generally dropping dead the fans left it alone until it's resurgence later .

I know that it stinks.    I know that the bloke  next door has always smoked it as its claimed to be part of his religion .   I know that he now exists in another dimension to the rest of us most of the time.

I know his son uses it by the bucket load  and we now have his dealer mates from Handsworth  parking outside , glowering at the white folks from under their hoodies  through their blacked out windows as they wait  for him to join them on another sales run.   

I know that my neigbours on the other side have now left as they couldn't see their daughter growing up in such a climate.

OK it has its uses .    I know  that the resin relieved the dreadful pain my sparky mate's brother suffered ( ex Sparky)  and certain other sparks were able to obtain said resin for him to eat .

It is very hard to say what would be best, You "could" legalise it, but what would that achieve? I DEFINITELY think that some of the money that is spent on trying to "deal" with drugs, would be better spent on stopping the drunken hooliganism that goes on. In the smallish, next to bankrupt "city" [it makes you laugh] where i live, there are apparently 52 pubs and clubs in the town centre, and then they wonder why there is trouble...

I say, drunk and disorderly should equal certain jail. Pubs should be a place where one can go to enjoy ones self, or take the kids in the summer and sit outside, not a kick off point for drunken brawls..
