Yeeeeessssssss! My internet connectivity is finally working again.

I've had a problem with the speed of my ADSL for about 2 weeks now and after 4 nights on the phone to various call centre folks trying to convince them there was something wrong. They managed to totally knacker it on Friday when I was at work.

Being without the internet for a whole day is like having you're arm cut off. (well maybe not that bad).

Think I'll celebrate with a couple of swift GuinnessGuinnessGuinnessGuinnessGuinnessGuinnessGuinnessGuinness

had no internet here for a full weekend a few month back - some contractor chopped the main cable into the area. that weekend was very boring!

Local to me EDF have a cable down affecting about 800 houses to start and then 400 later. Certainly worse than having internet down.

We get a few power cuts a year where I live, so I've got a small geny to power my router and laptop and a gas hob for cups of tea. Ahh the simple life.

I don't know about the seventies (as I was born early eighties) but caravans still have gas fridges.
