Noz, I'd much rather go and watch those guys [and gals] any day of the week.
Same for me mate, when you think of Usain Bolt running the 100m,,, it's nothing compared to the guys & girls doing it without legs or blind

Respect where respect is due!

I reckon you will be able to avoid them more than some. :| I know you go everywhere, but, come on!? some idiots folks actually live there.
i know, id hate to be there. last time it was bad enough getting from canary wharf back to the M11 (fortunately, no traffic at 4am on the way in)

they should have to fit around the place, not take over

there should be no special routes - they should have to sit in traffic jsut like everyone else. if they arrive late, then thats their fault for leaving too late

and id like to see how the traffic light thing works - changing the timings to improve traffic flows - if it works, whats the chances of them leaving them like that?!

"They" don't want good traffic flow, this would encourage independent vehicle use.

If "they" can block up the traffic, it will encourage the use of overpriced under-performing "public transport" which ensures that "they" get their share bonus from the companies, as the companies have to charge more to ensure the services are on time etc.

Thus lining "their" pockets more and more, as is the plan.

If you look in depth into who owns what shares in the current coalition Government, I bet that there are several (if not most) who will make a personal profit from the announcements today about the investment into the rail network, made by at least one person who has stated that he is "in this with us", with regard to the cut backs in the public sector, and the knock on affect in the private sector and the decimation of private sector business caused by the public sector cut backs, and the recession, even though he is on the Sunday Times Rich List, like "Yeh"! he is going to feel loosing

A friend of mine is partaking in the Paralympics in the Wheelchair Fencing Team for GB,

he was telling me earlier on today about what will happen the day of each 'fight'

They are rigorously searched (all teams) theyre not allowed to have their own drinks they will be supplied, any medications they must have a prescription or a signed letter from a medical professional

any persons on oxygen tanks etc must have it screened by a specialist,

any mobility aids (i.e wheelchairs) again are screened and xrayed if necessary and must be accompanied by member/members of the security team at all times.

All teams are being kept in various locations and are not allowed to shake hands with opponants due to cross contamination and potential for hazardous substances to be passed on via skin contact.

All towels etc must be in a clear bag sealed

it makes me wonder what on earth theyre expecting with the final above bit, Anthrax or summat???

but all in all i wish them all good luck and they all deserve much respect as they have all spent years training for all of this!

i was shocked when i found out that the 2016 team is already in front of pre selection committies
