Yeah thanks for puting them on here M107 always good for newbie's like me. Im gonna ask some stupid basic question now. How do you get each wire into correct slot on RJ45 plug? Never seen this done before so I havent got a clue

I rest the wires against the plug while applying a little pressure (this stops the wires crossing over each other) & push wires up into the plug guides (each wire has it's own slot), give a gentle push to cable making sure that you can see that each wire has reached the top end of the plug & the outer sheath is inside the crimp area......then crimp.

If I get a chance I'll post some close up pics of the RJ45 plug for you.

 
Well started a huge job in conduit today. Havent done any for ages. 25mm, 20mm 100x100 trunking, traywork job set to take 3 months. NG site so no photols allowed sorry.

Had to do an offset of about 200mm, couldnt remember exactly how, a trainee said something about 1.5 x the offset and a 45 degree angll set and it should be right. Seemed to work.

Doing a long horiz run tomorrow so taking in laser level then bang all the saddles on first nice n straight.
Whats wrong with the good old chalk line?
