went to a job last week involving removing heater from a wall in upstairs bedroom, anyway while onsite the home owner asked me if i could replace the cable linking the 2 shed light because it had been chewed through by a rat or mouse so took a look and said id put a price in the next day, anyway if you look at all the areas that are in conduit now, that was just cable clipped to the wall i though it better/safer to be installed in conduit than clip direct to the walls, also the light fiiting was 1 x strip light with a pinkish type lamp, and a batten holder, but the walls looked/felt damp so priced also to install 2 x sealed weatherproof fittings, now all wiring is in conduit, only took a couple of hours. thought youd like to see anyway :)

totally unrelated but yesterday due to my dad not locking the side entry door and going out leaving it slightly ajar, i got home to find the alarm hadent set properly and was going off, i walked down the side entry to find door open and the alarm going off in its own way saying there is a problem  it shook me up a bit to say the least but luckily we didnt have a burglary just the back door not making the alarm contact close. anyway came in checked around every where and found everything ok! but it made me think the dvr was very high risk at being attacked so from being on the filling cabinet is now cut in to the wall. got to finsih off the filling when the glue has dried but i think youll agree it looks better and makes the 2grand dm sprite a bit more secure and safe from billy burglar.

I did wonder why you didn't do something like that in the first place tbh Badge. - BUT -

I reckon that it should in a lockable (with airflow) steel cabinet.

thats the actual hard drive, but ive also been installing a desk fan as well to keep airflow moving, later today im putting a few vents in the soffit boards to help with air flow aswell

admin, i dont want a lockable cabinet so thats why i have put it into the wall. ;)

Not sure where that is, but should you not try to hide it more ? I fitted DM Sprite 2, about 8 months ago and it had a black centre section on the front with a DVD drive, is that an earlier version. Although good kit and helpful technical dept i was surprised it only has a bnc output

I'll bring the thermal imaging camera this time slips. :)

we might be able to find his cold beer this time,

or are you still convinced he's a tight wad and doesnt buy any?

nobody could be that tight.!!!!!!!
