What is that ?The next spark to come will be she shouldn't of left it like this it's unsafe blah blah blah
I'm expecting a backlash but what else could I have done within the hours time limit leave the old woman with no power?
the time frame you had is irrelevant,
either do the job safely and properly or dont bother doing it at all,
is it any wonder everybody down the pub thinks they can do electrics when so called competent electricians are doing jobs like this?!
and folks wonder why our trade gets belittled!
who knows, that little old lady could be lying dead by electrocution by now, all because some DIYer playing at electrics hadny got a clue how to find a fault so simply bypassed the safety device and left it.
as has been said many times, any idiot can get something to work, it takes skill, knowledge, experience and competence to get it to work safely, seems you either posess none of these qualities or else you just dont give a toss, take the money and run,
you cant blame the maintenance company, you knew there conditions when you took the job on, you could have walked away, but oh no, take the money and bodge it,
for quite simply that is what you have done, cowboy traders have nothing on you, did you do an EIC for your alteration? hope you put down your deviations.
if you dont know how to do the job maybe you should be stacking shelves somewhere, you certainly shouldnt be working for yourself or doing electrical work of any kind unsupervised.
