I have found my best tool bag yet.......

Stanley FatMax back tool pack.

It is a week old so appologies for the state of it.

Couple of big pockets either side.

D rings for clipping kit on to.

Medium sized zipper pocket on top ideal for insulating tape or as I now have, the Kewtech lighting test adaptors & plug in socket tester.

On shoulder strap is a phone holder/pocket.

The base & up the side for a few inches is made of tough plastic.

All the stiching is thick thread.

All zips are large toothed, so grit/dirt doesnt clog them.

Inside:

Loads of room inside. The innards can be removed. Drivers can be seperated ...pozi one side & flats the other.

Big area for crimp tool/cutters/pliers/adjustable spanners/pump pliers.

Big pocket inside for book/clipboard.

All in all I'm impressed & it only set me back

i use an open top bag

and a bucket. (idea when working with plumbers. your tools just float instead of flooding....)

The only problem with tool bags is that you've got nothing to stand on when you just can't quite reach the ceiling. I have a nice sturdy tool box, but maybe that's just because I'm short.

Use an open tote bag for tools that I use all the time . It works for me and I use a tool belt for working off step ladders when doing lighting.

I have recently brought this one

Had the stanley faxmax open tote before, but so far think this is better.

Do you actually carry that on yOur back mate? Must be well heavy to lift :)
I do ...... it is a tad on the heavy side but once on my back its a doddle to walk from carparks to the job.

I was hoping to see your butty box with the inside picture M :)
Butty box ....whats one of them...no stopping for scoff untill I get home.

I use one of these, sometimes struggle to carry it up the stairs, often have trouble lifting it out of the van and can never remember where everything is but apart from that its the best.
