i have a bag similar to your pic, but the most reliable and useful tool storage ive ever had was a bucket... has lasted well over 4 years of almost constant use. and its also waterproof, so idea for when working in wet area's (like in a house when the plumber is there)

and even if you do get that bag with all those pockets etc for tools... they will always end up in a pile

no matter what you use itll get filled with more stuff...

other advantage of a bucket for smaller obs is it also doubles as a bin... only basic tools are kept there (screwdrivers, cutters, tester etc). so only takes seconds to remove tools and tip into bin

I cleaned mine out the other day, when I unfortunately run it over :( . For site work buckets and shopping baskets are good - no one thinks they are worth knicking, but do like the tote bags as I have my tools aranged so that I can reach everything whilst sat in small cupboards under the stairs. ( Harry potter senior and lacking magic :^O )

self cleaning tool bag? all small rubbish goes in... all small rubbish remains on floor

May have to 'acquire' some of those....

So who's got the best deals on? Asda or Tesco?

Maybe even take a trolley for those larger jobs
