Has anyone come across lights with screws with triangular heads holding the cover in place.

Is there a tool available to get into these lights?

All help appreciated.

I have the old version of that kit in a soft blue case. Has got me into some things the manufacturers would rather I couldn't :D
Sex aids are NOT meant to be opened up when they stop working.....

TOOO many nasty bodily fluids clogging the works normally....

Only really stingy bods try to repair those toys......

rather than buying a replacement

Sorry was it Yorkshire man by any chance?????????

Its funny you should mention this as I was caught out yesterday for the same reason !. There was no light in a ladies toilet in some offices so the job was urgent. After hunting through my stores for a 2D 2 pin 16W lamp I arrived at the job only to find that the fitting had those pesky triangular cover screws. Could I find my triangular key ? could I eck !... long nose pliers were no good either so I had to borrow my friends ratchet screwdriver doofah- the socket was a perfect fit. By the time I'd left the job I'd taken an hour and a half !- to change one tube ! uh oh what will they say when they see the bill ?

Got a set of security bits (including thetriangular one) in the local weekly market, hardware stalls had them for about

I bought mine (long length ones) a few years back, soft rubber on the bottom.

I have a few sets of the cheap SF ones think they were reduced ones. They work if what you are trying to remove is not corroded or too tight but they certainly are not great quality. Its amazing how many things have these security screws does your head in. I just brought a faithfull set from Lawson HIS which has 62 bits these seem quite good quality and were about a tenner which didn't seem to bad. Luckily i have never come across triangle bits so not sure if i have a bit if needed.

:C whats this double posting.

Yes quite a few about. The Thorn original 16w 2D square fitting is one , I think the head is also tapered so really difficult without the proper dodah.
You are correct deke, it is the thorn fittings that have the triangle keys. the tool they supplied looked like the old keys that came with tinned ham, except it was triangle shaped on the end. We installed a load of them a while back but changed the screws to cross hesd ones. I kept a few of the keys but over time they got stored in that special place you think will be easy to remember when the time comes. Will probably see them again in 15 years time in an old vhs tape case or something.
