Hello,

I'm currently a student of Electrical Power Engineering and I'm trying to stop wasting useful time by working over summer in electrical-related role.

I'm not sure if this information is relevant but I have HND in Electrical Engineering if this will legaly help me avoid some of the tests =)

What I would like to know is what documents do I need to get to start with ?

1. Apply for SJIB card

2. Get BS7671 certifacte

3. Get a H&S certifacte

Is this right order ?

Would this be satisfactory for such work experience ?

Regards,

Tom

Hi Tom , just to get this right, are you saying you are qualified in theory but not in practice ?

Back in the day , a HND was an impressive qualification , preceded by C&Gs Installation A.....B....... C.... HNC .... HND . So you are qualified to teach ,possibly??

To work on a Site you usually need a CSCS card .

To prove you are an Electrician you need a JIB card (but not always)

What sort of work are you looking for ?
