Not sure if this is true or just rumour but I'd heard that if you put the washing on and go out and the washing machine decides to go into space via your house leaving a lot of damage the insurance Tomatoes won't pay out!

Its all a bit fishy really.

I know!! They are having a laugh!!!

Yes i will still try to get a replacement, just takes the urgency out of it a bit

Cannot remember where i bought the thing, that is the problem..

john..

Its not relevant where you brought it or when, if it is listed as part of recall then you just inform them and they will either arrange a suitable repair or offer the replacement product.

Initially they offered us a repair but after several months of waiting due to considerable demand, they finally sent email offering replacement. All you have to do is select the nearest (was at the time) currys/Pc world and register, then you have to take the old tumbler along to store and they'll give you your chosen replacement. Have to say all credit this was the easiest exchange I've had.

IMHO if you have paid for it to be delivered once, and it is so faulty it needs to be replaced, then it must be down to them to sort it.

I've had "words" at Currys/PCWorld in the past, with regard to this and I didn't like their attitude then, but, I didn't have to pay for collection/delivery it was just that we were without the appliance for a weekend, that I was annoyed about, after I had paid for it to be delivered no more than a week or two before.
