I was trying to get my cable rods thru a floor void today and was not having much success. The client on bringing me a nice cup of tea said I bet you wished you had a camera so you can look in those awkward places. That's it!! I went to the van and got my compact digital camera and used it to great effect.I was able to see the obstructions and managed to work round them to get my cable thru. A good tip to anyone who's not thought of it already. :Y

Dont super rods do a camera attachment that fits in the end of the rod?
I think they do mate. I use their rods . Very good quality.

I use the one on my phone...simples.I have one of thoses wireless things like an endoscope [CPC 95 squids] got me out of a few scrapes and paid for itself on first job. My mate calls it 8um-cam... :coat
There the bits of kit that you might have laid up in the van then one day have to use it and it saves a lot of hassle and time.

When using an endoscope, it's very important to pretend that you are an FBI agent trying to rescue hostages.

Whenever it comes out of the van at work we start saying things like "I see 3 hostages..." and then you have to make up fake military sign language to explain!!

I bet you have hours of fun with that Ali

I've always found the cameras to be very negative. Flash image and the people using them tend to be very clicky.....

There I've beaten the other rev and put most camera related puns all in one post.....
