Vent Axia Silhouette 150 Xh Extractor Fan - Intermittent Operation

I have the above fan fitted in the kitchen. It does not work reliably, in fact when switched on will give a little spurt of activity (red light comes on, brief spin of the fan), then stops.

So I have checked some basics:

1. Obviously the fuse is o.k., as it works sometimes

2. There are no blockages / clogged up blades or tubes

3. The blades can spin freely

There both a relative humidity and a timer / cut off adjustment option. I have moved these around to different settings but not achieved any improvement. However it does seem to be something around this area of the fans electrics; as fiddling here does sometimes get an  improvement once the fan is switched back on.

Any ideas please?

start testing to see what is working and isnt. unless you have something to test voltages (NOT a neon screwdriver) then probably best to call someone who does

Have you tried the manufacturers website and look for an FAQ's?
