Hi, I wonder if any-one might able to point out where I'm going wrong.
I have acctv system at home - 4ch h.264 multiplex DVR. I can view it locally over internet, and a while ago I could also view it from an external internet source. However, my dns account expired as I hadn't logged on and I'm now struggling to get it set up again.
I have set up my dns account - and set up a host using my location ip address. I selected service type host with ip address.
I've put all the dns settings in my dvr (these were still in from last time I connected).
I then reset all the port forwarding in the router.
When I go to the host name, I get the window prompting me for a user name and password, but it doesn't accept what I put in - the user and password are correct - it just says - Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection).
I can't think what I've done different this time than when I originally set it up.
Can anyone advise?
Thanks,
Louise.
