i have been asked to look at a job which is a unit that will have a motorbike mot/service station and this is one of the requirements

all the other stuff is sockets, lights, computers and water heater

trying to get a feel if this job is a bit beyond my capabilities

Opposite to a quick isolator. ROTFWLROTFWLROTFWLROTFWL

No seriously I've never heard of one before, where is it to be fitted in relation to the rest of the installation and what is it isolating?

Lol at your signature, Theory.

How true.

May be refering to a type C MCB (i.e. slower to operate then type B) required for Motor circuit protection?

or is it an isolator with an early make late break neutral ,not forgetting an isolator is for isolating not function switching

yours benji

I`ve worked on the "rolling road" for my local garage MOT unit (car not bike). I`ve never heard of a slow isolator at all, Theo. Sorry.

Do let us know when you find out, though.

I did exactly the same thing last year, provide a supply for a rolling road bike MOT tester.

There was no special requirement. IIRC a single phase 32A supply was specified.

I just provided a supply and isolator, the firm installing the rolling road made the connection from the isolator to the tester.
