I washed my car last year

Two weeks ago the half shaft sheared

Surely no coincidence there , is there?

I am unsure as whether to take the risk again or not!

Just saying.......

Mind you it had 240,000 on the clock
It might have been using a non PH neutral shampoo, washing in circles not straight lines and not using the 2 bucket method.

Had you used the 2 bucket method your half shaft would have been ok.

****** i knew I had seen that somewhere!

Ah well, live and learn

I was told years ago never to use detergent on a car as it ran the oil/ lube out of locks, hinges, wiper bearings etc. seemed like good advice. I was told that a hand washing wooly jumper thingy liquid was the best option. Mind you this was a fricking long time ago when people used to wash stuff by hand. Probably all done on laptops nowadays

Van is my baby, its a dream i have had for years which has finally come true.

Its had the paintwork corrected by a detailer just after i got her.

Sunday between dinner i got 4-5 hours on the body work

Washed sonax PH neutral shampoo

Its so nice and quiet outside cleaning the van, misses and children leave me alone, its fantastic.

Only 3 seats so the misses and kids cant fit in. They have to ride in my old BMW, which i dont mind taking to the super market, kids can eat in it and make a mess. When its just me and the kids we can do wheel spins and a little sideways action.

If i wrote the car off i wouldnt be surprised or too upset. Scratch on my new van and i start sweating.
Blimey Pewt ... I wash van & car ...10mins tops   soapy water & hosepipe on stun.   Took me longer to read your post
