Who prefers employing the use of blacks or whites....................... CLIPS!!!

Now here's the sort of trivial question that pops into your head whilst clipping a length of cable...

Cable clips what colours do you use? one presumes the following to be true B-)

Grey T&E --- grey clips,.... White T&E --- white clips,

White phone --- white clips,.... Black phone --- black clips,

Black Co-Ax --- black clips,.... White Co-Ax --- white clips,.... Brown Co-ax --- brown clips,

BUT Green&Yellow Earth wire!?

White is nicer, both inside and out.

But it depends on what is used there already. then I will match them up with the existing (Ie Telephone ((99% black) or Coax etc). After agreement with the Client.

I tend to naturally pick white out.....

But although I still go for white outside on earth wire...

I do tend to think black clips just seem more suited to outside !! ?:| ? :|

You can get quite a collage effect if the property has..

Brown TV co-ax with brown clips!

Black phone cable with black clips!

and a Green/Yellow earth with white clips! ; )

I was clipping about 20m of earth wire on Friday!!!

I used white... just running on auto pilot...

but was on Black brick work.....

Thought after.....

I was led to believe that black PVC is unaffected by sunlight, so perhaps black would be better. The outer , orange PVC sheath on Pyro looks pants after a few years outside IMO.

I can not think of an installation purpose that would require clipping earth wire

It always has to be within a tube or trunking " here "
