I think they are trying to solve a problem that does not exist. Their list of 'advantages' says it all:

  • no need to re-open and re-close panel (yes you do because you need to install and remove the equipment at least once)
  • No need to repeatedly put on and take off PPE (wow)
all the other 'benefits' are offer nothing over what any other data logger can do with an SD card etc. 

Pretty much like multi function testers with the Bluetooth function - will never be needed. 

 
I tend to agree, I'm hoping someone will tell me what the advantages are, the blurb needs serious reading because the US are lapping it up and I'm all for selling new equipment  :innocent

 
Of course. 

You ou will always have those that want 'the latest'. No matter what.  What is the cost of this compared to the equivalent without 'wireless' technology? I suppose that is what it all comes down to in the end.

This is probably down to this being the first test instrument being introduced to US, it's all they've ever known?
