Wiring advice for a Metal Muncher

Hi Guys,
I got my gold card last week after completing my AM2, during my time i’v mainly been metal munching, wiring transformers, glanding armoureds, and working in controls. So although i’v got decent experience, i haven't done much commercial works in particular lighting.

I obviously know how to wire lightint, but am looking at being more efficient as i’m taking too long. So i now find myself on a fast paced job trying to find how to wire lighting circuits most efficiently. As being on site is a-bit different to the AM2.

This may sound very silly, but would someone be kind enough to literally tell me how they’d go about wiring and for example arranging cable drums to pull in together. For an emergency lighting circuit in a corridor that is incorporating a PIR, 2 way switch and key switch.

Or if there are any practical tutorials on similar lighting circuits.

Don't cut the conductor at every lighting point or you will have to remake the pull again. Pull right through then progressively from the furthest point pull out a loop from the drums. With emergency lighting wire as for a general circuit but you need an additional permanent line from the key switch, this key switch gets it supply from the permanent live of the adjacent general switch. Arranging cable drums is easy it is the pulling which can cause problems later if they start crossing, two people make this easy as you can separate them through one person's fingers at the entry point, on your own it can get messy if several conductors are involved.

Brilliant might sound simple to some, but helpful nonetheless thanks buddy.
How would you incorporate a PIR in that. Would you wire those separately off the switch?

Why would you put a PIR as well as two way switching? Presumably the PIR would have to override the manual switches, but then trying to switch off the lights would be confusing as the PIR would hold them on whilst you were there (?)

Apolagise it will be 1 way switching PIR and key switch

So the key switch is just the emergency lighting?
Imagine your PIR is your switch but will also require a neutral. From here take your live to the key switch from the permanent live.

Flipping heck that rumpatec is expensive, wonder how many cable stands I have made over the years out of bits of off cut timber and a piece of metal conduit, quite a few, cost zero.

Varying options on cable runners
My "patented"conveyor roller system, wish I had
2 pairs of steps and a broom handle
Bend 2 bits of conduit to make a left and right 3 dimensional S shape
2 angle boxes 20mm drill a 25mm hole in each. 4 x 15” threaded 20mm conduit screwed into each spout. These are the end supports. 20mm conduit through the holes, splay legs out, job done
Buy a spooler
Aquire a BT cable runner….single drum
Ditto. BT rope dispenser
Spend money on a piece of over priced over marketed plastic
Ingenuity is your friend

Years ago had a big drum on a scaffold pole through the open windows of two escort vans.

conduit bender and vice with a length of conduit, you would need an old drum to go on first to stop it getting stuck on the vice
on a big job maybe 25mm with 20mm inside to stop the bend in the pipe
