Right then heres one for you.
While at a school doing some work on em lighting, the caretaker asked a few question with regard to the new wood chalet type building electrical installation.
The sparks that has done the work has had to extend an existing swa submain (16mm 2core) from the supply (tn-s), he apparently then called his governing body to ask clarification on the use of the swa as the MEC & was told no he couldnt use it as it has been jointed underground..ok then can a rod be used & TT the outbuilding.
Again the answer was a no because they deemed the the building as a tempory movable structure ?:| ROTFWL
This thing is 20ft x 30ft & sat on raised pillar foundations.
As for the 3x em lights in the school not working, these were only fitted by a contractor during refurb work over the summer holiday break & they'd managed to wire the sw/line & unswitched line ass about face at the fittings Applaud Smiley
