I just use good quality insulation tape, kept in my pocket so its warm, stetched slightly as I apply it to the cable so that it sticks well. I have never known good tape to fall off, but I realise I should probably use heat shrink or self amalgamating.

I just use crimps and give them a good tape up, far quicker than a mF joint box. Good quality crimper and tape that doesnt fall off!

What college are you at? I went to college in Aberdeen and if i kept my bus or train tickets they would refund the money but they wont give you petrol money. Did this untill some of us lads passed out driving test then did lifts and shared fuel expenses. Hope this helps
