3 Phase Car "Lifts".

Hi guys,

I know someonewho has a chance of buying a 3 phase car 'Lift'. (the type you see in Garages and M.O.T bays).

He wants to know if it is possible to remove the 3 phase Motor and replace it with a single phase motor. Because he just has a garage in his back garden.

It has the heighth, or else he wouldn't be considering it.

yes u can dude ,seen it done and trying to get hold of him to find out what motor he used on his lift ,swalec ; )wanted too much to put 3 phase in so he adjusted it and it worked ,, ill try to get the info

or use a single in-3 out inverter...housed in an enclosure.....if you have the kw rating of the motor i can give you some info
