70W Metal Halide Eliptical E27 Internal Ignitor Lamps.

Does anyone know of a supplier of the above? Need to replace some SON lamps in floods, can only find external ignitor metal halides.

Do they even exist?

Any leads appreciated.

dont think they make MH with internal ignitor.

you could always add an ignitor

Mmmm suspected that was the case, adding ignitors was plan B, hoped to avoid that due to laziness!

There are MH lamps that have internal ignitors but I've only ever seen them used in special applications where the ballast is far remote from the lamp and external ignitor pulse attenuation is too great. I don't think you'll find them available off-the-shelf and they're not always compatible with standard ballasts either. My advice is avoid them unless there's a really good reason to use them (other than laziness )
