8ft Twin Flourescent runing cost??

guys does anyone know were i would find what it costs to run an 8ft twin fitting.

the reason I ask is i think they maybe becoming obsolite and a client wants to know if I installed low bay hqi's instead if he would make any savings on his eleccy bill

IIRC, SON and MH have a higher lumen-watt than fluorescents. so you would get more light output for the power going in.

as for costs, you would need to know total watts of equipment, and cost per unit

On an 8ft fitting the gear consumes 50 watts. So if you have 2x 100W tubes then the total consumption will be 300W.

If you were to retrofit a pair of E-Matic Linear Convertors you can reduce this to a total of 154W, a saving of 56%.
