Kids (6&3) built their first snow man and went on their first sledge ride yesterday, it was great fun! :wub:

Today.... ice, sludge, chaos and gloom.

I was hoping for another snow day!

i was supposed to be going to coventry yesterday, that got cancelled on saturday due to the expected snow...

We have had several good dumps, well over 6 inches for several days now. Yesterday the mid day high was -5 after the overnight -11

And things carry on pretty much as normal. All that seems to change is peoples parking habits in the town. Well you can't see the yellow lines so you can park anywhere.

Did I ever mention my Subaru is brilliant in the snow?

Not a snowflake have I seen - BORING! It never ceases to amuse me how much we struggle with a bit of snow, but I do feel modern low profile 'energy efficient' tyres have a lot to blame. The tread profile is so shallow that I find a mere smear of mud and they can't cope! Even a wet grass field in summer is enough to defeat them. I have a small campervan as well as the works van, I changed the tyres on that to a more 'chunky tread pattern' makes a huge difference on mud and grass.
