Lsf singles is a pretty standard cable nowadays, any half decent wholesaler will supply it for you

And if the designers spec says how he wants the electrical system installed then he's responsible for it and will be signing the eic, so that part is his baby along with any future issues on the design part

On a job that size a conduit bender and some tallow is not really a great expense either?!

As long as reasonable payment terms are in place I would take that job on no worries

Get a decent spark and a lad in to do the containment and wiring and either do the 2nd fix yourself or let them do the whole lot and just do the testing and paperwork afterwards

Sounds like the possibility of a good earner to me, if the price is right

I'd jump at that!!

Dave , as regards conduit tools , you'd get a pipe vice/bender on Fleabay or similar then all you'd need is stocks 'n' dies . I'm sure you have grips , hacksaw etc . LSF is'nt a problem . I wouldn't want the job myself , tied to a production schedule , I'd be bored to death TBH . And you need to know that the construction of the modules is compatible with steel conduit .

You won't be able to go sailing when you want ...good grief man ...they'll have you clocking on next FFS .
I have a bender, though I only have the formers for plumbing size pipe (would 20mm conduit bend okay with a 22mm former?) It's just the stocks and dies I would need.

But I think the latter paragraphs are more the reason I really don't want it. Not too bad if it were a winter job, but April to October I don't want solid work.

Dave if you have a plumbers bender that's no good for 20mm or 25mm steel conduit. All your required tooling could be factored into your tender, and if get the work you have gained the kit.

I used to do loads and loads of conduit work and the bender was always on the van, but these days it comes out of storage maybe once or twice a year, as my type of work has now steered toward barn conversions.

If you don't fancy it just tell your builder it's not for you. I have been offered a few where I have not been happy with all the missing information from the spec and when you ask for it they say just make an allowance.

So you spend hours pricing then don't get it because you've made allowances and some other fool has not.

I think you have said you are more or less semi retired so this is really too much to worry about getting it right or wrong and could cost you if you get it wrong.

You can get LSF at any electrical wholesalers. You could hire a bending a machine and a rems machine to thread the conduit, faster and easy but the cheaper option is to buy your own stock dies and dont forget the lubricant. The cable should go down the conduit fine aslong as you use the correct size conduit and stick within the guides for amount of bends/sets your allowed. you shouldnt have a problem with using running couplers either.

Personally as long as your not worried about getting paid sounds like a really nice job, conduit and lsf nothing to worry about. Get someone to work with you a few days a week and you should be able to keep on top of it and have some time off when you want.

If your including the tools in your costs, don't forget to add the cost of the training course as well on top of your quote.
