An old smoke/gas room now used as a store, storeman complained about getting a tingle off front of old DB when he touched it.

New cu required & new lighting + new sockets & all conductors in tube needed rewiring, MICC tested ok so was reused.

Supply is via a 2c 10mm MICC off of 60amp iso from main chamber across the carpark.

The old cu

I have rearranged the circuits to cut down on circuits, such as one circuit for all 6 sockets, lights split over two circuits & fume/smoke extractor circuit disconnected as not now in use.

For those that have not seen or used Piranha earthing nuts...

Wylex metalclad tall units are good plenty of room for working why can't other manufacturers make them. Will try those earth nuts may come in handy some time. Looks like you have had a busy week M.

I was about to ask why that unit seems bigger. Will have to get one of those when the jobs right.

At another fire station again M?
What makes you think that ................. all the foam give it away;)

Have your lot got all the firelink kit installed yet? like the spanish inquesition from Telent with regard to the supplies for their station end kit.

  1. Who installed it
  2. Wheres the test results
  3. Wheres the certs
  4. Are the electricians qualified
  5. Only a Telent electrician can connect the end kit...........(yeh right)

Found anything interesting lately M ie WW2 stuff on your travels?
No nothing lately, only a discarded 1940's tin Junction box from. when lead sheathed was in use

Yes all those barrels of niagrra mate :^O

No we havent had any of it put in yet we arent to go regional for a couple of more years so who knows, the stickers are in place for where the equipment needs to go. There are talks if labour arent in power who ever takes over are going to be scrapping all the regional control rooms so it will be all a waste of money.

Yes heard the same apparently it's in the conservative manifesto to scrap it, but keeping 3 of the regional controls as disaster recovery/cobra command centres.

Wondred if you'd notice the niagrra, if I'd panned round you'd have got a shot of branches / stand pipes with a shed load of Rosenbauer spares.

Can you get me a rosenbauer helmet :D

Yeah so all your hard work may not be needed in the end mate, as long as you keep getting paid and they keep giving work you will be laughing to the bank.

Anyone else going to display their work?

Never have digicam with me when I'm doing installs! :innocent

Mind very difficult to take pictures of fault finding, which is what I seem to spend most time doing! headbang
