As it was your friend who installed it, why not ask him to look at it, and also where did the panel come from? (Is it brand new?)

If this was a brand new out of the box system it is either wired wrong, programmed wrong or faulty. So either recheck all of the install or return it to your supplier for replacement. If it was a cheap eBay or car boot bargain you could have bought a nail. Was this a DIY install or do either you or your friend have some form of electrical competence or qualification. You may need to go backward down a remove zones type procedure and try it bit by bit as you rebuild it all back up. What happens with just the keypad and panel connected, no zones or external siren wiring? Have you verified the wiring to the door and motion sensors is correct.
