What I would like to know is can take the complete wave spectrum coming into an Amplifier ande change the wave length to a lower length. What I am trying to do is to take high tones and bringing them down to lower tones. Thanks for any help.

I don't understand your question, when you say wave spectrum, do you mean frequency range? I.e audible 20 Hz - 20 KHz as your talking about high Tones to lower tones?

You can make an amplifier do anything you like if you add or tailor the feedback to your requirements. You can add a high pass filter, a low pass filter, a positive feedback network and turn it into an oscillator. The Graphic Equalizer does nearly all these functions; within limits except make the amplifier oscillate.

Here is what I am trying to do. take a person that sings as a tennor can I change that to sound like a bass. My problem is I no longer can hear the high tones. They are gone and no amplifier can make them come back. I can hear the lower tone no problem so would like to know can we take the high tones and lower them to where I can hear them.

You can use music software to achieve your aim! You would take you source(the tenor) and adjust the high pass filter roll off to a lower frequency, you would do this in real time til you hit the sweet spot, where it is best for you.

Feed the SIGNAL level audio into your PC - use the inbuilt audio functions to achieve the desired effect; most can do it "out of the box" - if not there are many cheap or free software alternatives.
