Hallo m8
I wouldn't take any notice in ref to comments such as the open learning courses aren't recognised by the job trade , at the end of the day you are coming out of the course with your C&G Level 2 and 3 2330 and with an NVQ regardless of whether or not you have been to college for 2 yrs or taken 2 yrs open learning to do both , you dont put on your CV C&G2330 level 2 (OLCI open learning) , I study with OLCI and pay with my own money so for that reason I study hard and get the best out of the practical sessions , ask a million questions each session basically chew the instructors ears off, 1 thing I will say is the open learning course is more effective if you already have an understanding in electrical theory i.e. ohms law, electrons, resistance, capacitance etc the reason being is the practical sessions do concentrate on working with materials i.e steel conduit, PVC,MICC,SWA, lighting circuits 1 way,2way etc if you are at a loose end you could maybe do an ONC or a HNC in electronic and electrical engineering whilst you do your open learning course. This course includes all the theory and more than you would get when doing your C&G2330
