...much the same as several others on here. I registered with Elecsa, did a quick new circuit at home (new breaker to secondary CU which i then RCD protected and ran out to an outdoor socket).
I didn't bother to notify and my assessor simply said "right, you can notify that through us as your first job" which suggested to me that they were well aware of the problems that new starters like us face.
Needless to say, once I'd passed my assessment, the work was swiftly removed so that:
1) I didn't need to notify,
and more importantly
2) I could use the kit on a paying job!!
Whichever way you choose to go though, good luck with the assessment!
