auto electrician converting to household help

hey guys

i am auto electrician wanting to convert to domestic electrical, i have been throught erh whole apprenticeship but now i am 28 and want to change my carear,

i am currently working as a sparkys mate doing heating instalations which i am finding easy but i am look to do house automation. can anyone guide me as to go about this.

i live in scotland if that makes any difference
