I have tried the traditional boot, but found that the toe leather gets scuffed off very quickly, as reported, so thought I'd try something with a bit more flexibility on the toes, hence the apprentice boot. Have to say they are a very comfortable boot and remain un-scuffed, just separated!

Nothing worse than a scuffed boot with toe leather missing, very unprofessional looking IMO.

As promised a review of the DeWalt Bolster boot.

Had them for approx 3-4 weeks. They are stiffer than the Apprentice boot, are a slightly narrower fit and the steel in the toe can be felt from within the boot whilst wearing them. After a days hard graft I'm pleased to change out of them. Would not recommend them.

Rating 2/10 at best.

Whilst I'm on with reviews.........

Have just purchased the Milwaukee 18v red lion SDS Drill. What a piece of kit, it is pnuematic rather than pin action therefore much quieter then the rest, it also means that you do not have to put any pressure on the drill when using, the lighter that you hold it the better it works. The only thing that takes getting used too is the loading mechanism for the drill bits, its not the usual pull back but a twist and lock system. Rating 10/10

Also got the Milwaukee 18v angle grinder, not used as yet but I will!!!!

Streety has had a few pairs of the DeWalt Boots, The Bolster Boots lasted all of 13 months then the sole split from the upper!

Recently purchased him the Apprentice boots, and they seem to be ok!

Personally i have timberland pro's which iv had for that long now the material is lovely and soft and comfy to wear i also have a pair of SITE toetec trainers and they are the worse trainers ever! i ended up with a 2" slice in the top of my foot as the toe plate is litterally just glued on the inside of the lining
