Capacitor charging

hello all,

i have been playing with the little capacitors from disposable cammeras making little stun gun things great fun when your as imature as me..

i keep breaking the little charging circuit.. :| from what i gather all this does is does is create a pulsed dc votlage and pumps it up a few volts?

basicly clever peoples.. would i be able to charge a capacitor just using a standard 110v ac supply?

the caps are 180 mF, 330 V

No, you need a DC supply to charge the capacitorand the circuit steps the voltage up by more than just a few volts.
