Wouldnt be accepted onto a mature candidate assessment with those qualifications as you appear to have no level 3 technical certificate so they would expect you to do the full technical course plus the nvq and am2.

I myself am i at the point where i need to do the nvq now because certain people are asking for gold cards more while it doesnt affect my current work it may be needed in the future and it does pain me to have to give the union in disguse con artists at the JIB anything.

To better yourself Jammin, then you should aim to be a "Qualified Electrician" to JIB and as the guys suggested above and complete the 2357 NVQ, through the Electrical Improver or Apprenticeship route. That way no-one can argue whether you are an Electrician or not and your career prospects are not limited in our industry.
