A customer has a Friedland D3126 door chime adjacent the front door which basically is a chime with integral transformer. The connections to it are 230v supply to tx and a 2core bell wire from push button.
The customer wants another chime fitted in parallel so she knows when someone is at the door when she is in the garden. Due to this type of device it is not possible and needs replacing.
She doesn't want a completely wireless system as she doesn't want to rely on batteries.
I am thinking of fitting a normal wired setup with stand alone transformer and separate chime. The problem comes with the additional chime. The run is very awkward and long so running wiring to opposite side of house is a last resort. Can I get something to wire into new system near front door that sends a wireless signal to a chime near the back door that is also wired. ie both chimes are wired (not relying on batteries) and operate from one common wired push button.
Hope that makes sense,
