EICR Question from Domestic Customer

If i got offered £383 to drive to central London and do a quick EICR for £383 i would probably turn it down.

under the dorstep selling legislation, without a contract to do the works or a disclaimer waivingh the 14 days cooling off period from the customer to the contractor then the contractor hasn't a leg to stand on. The only exceptions to this are emergency repairs and callouts. I don't think an EICR falls in to this category.

 
Even if you did get the EICR, the results would be suspect if they only took 2 hours. How many circuits were tested?.

I agree with you.

He is probibly the same guy the Estate Agents use, who can do an EICR for £100-150  in a couple of hours.
