I have a client who is renovating a cottage who wants some form of electric heating but not night storage. I've done some research and was looking at those gel filled radiators but was put off by some bad reviews on reliability and customer service.

I have been looking at the Dimplex Duoheat as theses seem quite a good option. Any thoughts on these or alternatives?

Duoheat ARE, primarily, a storage heater; with a convection front panel "bolt-on" - they take 2 supplies, one for night storage, and the other as a 24 hr supply.

If its still viable, UFH could be a plan???

There are loads of these about at the moment,, Ronte for one

If you beleive their sales blurb then they are very economical,, certainly very efficient (very nearly all the energy used is turned into heat)

I fitted some German ones (very easy to install) that a customer had supplied (in his mothres house), apparently they cost something like
