Hi.........firstly my apologies, I'm not an electrician, best described as a flaky female! But I just wondered if one of you could tell me. I am in one of 2 flats. The flat below needed more electricity. In order to do this they needed to split the feed to the flats and re route my mains. They couldn't put the mains inside the building below, because the flat below wanted a bathroom in that area. So they ran the mains that supplies the whole of my flat outside my front door along the wall then inside my flat area. It doesn't look aesthetically pleasing, I presume it does the job. But is this normal. I always presumed that a main cables were meant to be underground or in the wall, or in an inside wall. Would really appreciate your view.
