Obviously just don't care. Is it really too much trouble to get the crimper out? Assumes, of course, that they even have a crimper that'll do 25mm.

Did they even need extending in the first place? They look like they'd have reached the meter okay.

I think there may have been a switch in there or even a RCD and it's been taken out for some reason.

Maybe DNO said get your equipment out of our box.

Couple of Henley Link Boxes would have looked better.

But theses guys work on a budget. So a fraction of the price of a Henley ;) As above there prob was a isolator there, but they needed to nick that for another job ;) and they still get away with it :(

the tails look long enough to go into meter. maybe this was originally a temp thing until DNO removed the short bit and conencted the tails into meter (which never happened?)

Do they make screwits large enough for meter tails?
yes. a small bottle top

not very secure though and probably not a good conenction (same as the screwits really)

I do infact now know why they were chocked (I asked the home owner)when dropping off EICR.

" The builders when building the garage & office did it to run some sockets when we were away & house was locked up"

The fabled builders fuse board!

didnt need the tape as the connector blocks are insulated just another example of wasting tape tut tut
