Getting 25mm swa through ceiling joists will be a nightmare. Does it need to be 25mm for a 60 amp supply? Use 16mm and keep insulation off.

Thats how I saw it Northern , forget the conduit , use 3 core SWA , even just gland it at the mains end , don't make it off at the board. 

Saves all the messing about and chased into a wall keeps it out of sight and gives the desired end result, but for an insulated DB I've always glanced it into an end box to get a fly lead for the armour and then taken that and the 3 cores into the DB then stripped the inner insulation off

You can save money & cable size by using 2C SWA.

Oh & Batty, 16 is fine unless ducted or insulated for 80A according to 7671.

As before, many thanks for the continued feedback.  

It seems my original thoughts was a plan however I will sit and toy around with the ideas given as a decision (and the quote) is required soon!
