i agree with Deke,

why is a PCB needed?

something more to fail.

Ive made a few up just using a keyswitch and a unswitched fused spur with neon, needs a double box mind, but Im sure you could sort something better out if need be.

does anyone make a 3g grid for a single box?

A isolator (from memory) should be clearly identifiable in its position, I don't see how a key switch is. Remember there will be semi skilled people poking around in these panels most probably.

All fire alarm panels have a mains on indicator, Even a semi skilled should see that, although my opinion is a unskilled person should never be inside a working fire alarm panel. I suppose if fed via a 5a breaker, together with the fuse in the panel, another fuse at the spur/switch/isolator  (take your pick) is not needed
