forklift charger

hi guys im wiering a 10amp 3 phase forklift charger that has a 5 pin 16 amp cform on it. just wanted to be sure as i havent done one before.

im going to use a 20 amp 3 pole (D) mcb wired in 4mm singles in trunking to a 32amp rotory isolator

then in 4mm swa to a 16 amp 5 pin female wall mounted socket

then the charger can just be plugged in

can anyone find a fault in this thanks james

If you`ve got a 16A commando; wouldn`t you be better off using a 16A breaker?

i thought id use a 20 amp because some forklift charges have a high initial ampage for or so ive read

not sure if there is much cost difference but i have fitted these before - saves on the armoured/isolator etc and you dont have the earthing problem in running a 4 core armoured with seperate cpc or using the armoured sheath

if i changed the mcb to 16 amp would it hold on the charger start up thanks james

thats what the type D takes care of

probably would be fine. check the charger info for more details

As Lee said above; thats the reason for choosing a "D" curve
