my slow cooker will be a dead cooker if someone doesn't help me...

it runs to hot on low so I cant leave it going all day while at work.

does anyone know how I can fix this?

hi, hopefully someone has some good advice for me...

I bought a new slow cooker bout 6 weeks ago

it is a watts brand twin bowl (nicknamed it twinnies)

anyway the point is that

twinnies runs hot on the low setting I cant leave it going all day

if I cook on high it burns (I normally only hav that trouble when i

cook on stovetop)

if I use low it is cooked in 3-4 hours..

how can I make it that low is low not like high..

ive been reading some people use a dimmer cord can I do this?

I need the temp on low to be less (don't ask me what it is as I hav no idea)

anyone have any ideas for me plz......

Throw a couple of more prawns on the Barbie and have another beer while they cook, fair dinkum.

As you are in Australia I should point out that you are asking on a U.K based forum, and nice that the guys are here, electricians are NOT appliance / device repair people, and as the device you have is only 6 weeks Old, as has been said, can you not take it back?

Duplicate threads merged. Welcome to the forum. If this item is brand new, do you not have instructions with it? if it is not operating correctly its probably best to take it back for a refund and stop wasting time trying to solve a manufacturing defect. If it was bought second-hand, why was the previous owner selling it?

Assuming it is not buggered, wht not get a timeswitch so it turns itself on a few hours before you are due to come home from work?? If you want to leave things cooking while you are out, it might be a good idea to notify the fire brigade and maybe give them a front door key, so they can make sure to be on time when th house burns down..

john...

we have a similar slow cooker, even if only using 1 half you need to put water in both sides. The thermal mass associated with doing this will make the cooking time longer.

In the meantime enough of the Ozzy puns. Poor Kezz is getting his dinner cooked before his tinnies get cold, just not cricket :slap
