Yes my other half thinks I'm a sad muppet, as I always look at the electrics where ever we may be holidaying.

Anyway I thought it would make a good thread if any of you out there also have the same habbit (go on admit it you all do:^O ), & somewhere for us to post some pictures of the quality DIY/handyman work undertaken around the UK holiday homes & camp sites.

So to get the ball rolling, from a very nice Cornish holiday home.....looked to have been rewired not to long ago, going by the new cu's & T/E & trunking around the place.

TP supply......seen the henleys at the top?

Thats 10mm swa straight off the henleys via the 100mA Hager RCD, that is a submain up the garden for approx 25-30mtrs to a hottub, it terminates to an enclosure that houses a 30mA rcd main switch + 32amp mcb for hot tub & socket & 6amp mcb for lighting around hot tub & garden.

Garden lights all these were at a maximum of 3' off ground level in the garden.

SWA into the garden lights.

T/E through the fence to pir & swa un-glanded to enclosure.

Loop in-out at another light on the fence.

and this is what it supplies

well I don't go on holiday very often but always check the electrics out when I do, what sort of spark wouldn't. Last holiday we had I put comments in the comments book as there where quite a few issues with the electrics. My missus didn't like it but the owner rang and said she would get things sorted so things hopefully would.

I do too, M107.

I am sure I posted pics of the tent supply on here already? I will have a look again later, so that they are all in the same place.

I always look at the electrics wherever I go, and not just on holiday.

My wife thinks I am sad, it gets worse when I mention to the pub landlord or hotel manager the faults I have found just by looking!!

I think its a bad habbit, but just as addictive as cigarettes.

For some reason my wife thinks I'm sad aswell,, however if I ever mentioned anything I'd regret it

I do it too but really gives my dad the ump as his dad was a spark too and tried drumming it into him but he just switched off. Prob does the same with me lol.
