if they were wearing rubber shoes, their body resistance would be much higher, so whilst voltage may be the same, the current that can flow would be much lessI know what you are saying, but I still think that if you put them in wellies it wouldn't be an issue,

Dunno..`Pache - in answer to the earlier question - the resistance measurement would be between the horse`s front hoof & rear hoof (on the same side, i`d say). A "simple" multimeter (NOT megger) would give you the appropriate reading How is a supposedly defunct cable, owned by the DNO, still energised.
