I thought a 10mm cable on a 50A breaker would be the thing

where can I get a 50A rated switch and cooker point?

any other advice would be welcome

MK & Crabtree do a 45A one

Probably get away with a 40A breaker aswell

I have the toledo 90 full electric on a 32A breaker on 6mm cable (was like that when I moved in) and thats never tripped even on xmas day with all 5 rings going some and both ovens.

17KW = 73A

so 10A + 22 (30% of 73A)

32A.....

I would go for a 40A supply myself which is well within diversity.

I would just go with a 40A mcb and 45A isolator as normal
